Bio on Pastor Bret Nazworth
Pastor Bret W. Nazworth has pastored Harlingen Bible Church (AKA Parkwood Bible Church) since February of 2003.
Bret, formerly a missionary for nearly 18 years, served in the country of Venezuela together with his wife Wanda. Most of those years were dedicated to church planting among the Yanomamo Indians. He spent his last 2 years of his ministry in missions stateside, working for GoodSeed International. He was responsible for the leading the Spanish translation of John Cross’ best seller: The Stranger on the Road to Emmaus. While serving in Venezuela, Pastor Bret translated Scripture, evangelized, discipled and worked as a language and culture consultant. As a result of a team effort, a church was established in the Yanomamo village of Parima, Venezuela. During their last 2 years on the field of Venezuela, Bret and Wanda worked in a small frontier town called Morlichalito, located in the western part of the State of Bolivar. While on location they worked to establish a church. Since coming here to Harlingen Bible Church many things have transpired. The church has been built up spiritually and numerically. The road has not been easy yet God has done great things. Pastor Bret’s burning desire is that the Gospel remains pure and clear.
